Winners of Pan Arab Web Awards 2007 announced

Business Software Alliance (BSA), the international association established by the software industry to promote a safe and legal digital world, in association with the Pan Arab Web Awards committee, recently announced the winners of the Pan Arab Web Awards 2007 at a glittering ceremony held at the Burj Al Arab.
www.araby.com won the prestigious Best Arabic Website in the Arab region award; MICROSOFT award for the best website built on MICROSOFT Technology went to www.lbcgroup.tv the Leading E-commerce website in the Pan Arab region award went to www.bayt.com; while the Dubai police website, www.dubaipolice.ae won the Governmental Organisations Strategic Web Award. www.aljazeerasport.net was presented the Diamond Award the Best Website of the year; Koein won the Web Company of the Year award and www.etihadairways.com and www.eyeofdubai.com both won the International Standards Web Technology Award.
Pierre Moukarzel, Chairman, Pan Arab Web Awards Committee, said, "With each edition of the Pan Arab Web Awards we have seen a significant increase in the number of participants. Also, this year the quality of entries received has been of the highest level, making it a difficult task for the judges to choose the winners. What makes the Pan Arab Web Awards different from other web awards is the fact that besides promoting creativity and innovation in web design, this award aims to further the cause of IPR protection in the Arab world through participating companies. We believe in creative artistic skills that are built on innovation, we all as individuals and entities are happy to encourage these skills by having them with us in this event."
Some of the other main winners of the Pan Arab Web Awards 2007 include www.gowealthy.com, MSN Arabia, Qais Consulting, Star Portal LLC, www.buzinessware.com, www.middleastlogistics.com, www.careermideast.com, www.sharp.ae, www.damanhealth.ae and Dubai Festival City.
