ADTA is keen to apply best practices, says Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun

The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) is keen to upgrade the performance of its personnel and ensure that best practices are applied and upheld, said ADTA Chairman Sheikh Sultan bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan.

In remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance, Sheikh Sultan also stressed the need for the ADTA to apply the best performance standards, saying that if such standards are applied, it would reflect positively on the entire tourism sector in Abu Dhabi emirate.

"Indeed, any significant leap made by the ADTA in terms of performance, improvement of plans and services, it would add value to the current developmental efforts in various sectors", said Sheikh Sultan.

Headed by Professor Hadi Al Tejani, Government Excellence and Quality Advisor at the General Secretariat of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, the Abu Dhabi Award delegation briefed the ADTA Chairman and his teams on the criteria and conditions required for competing for the award. The ADTA was also informed about the timetables, categories and mode of competitions.

The Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance was conceived as part of the numerous ambitious development projects launched by the Government of Abu Dhabi during the last couple of years. These initiatives were unveiled by General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The Award is a significant initiative aimed at achieving excellence and best practices in government institutions.
