Celebrating 60 years of cinema in Cannes, the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes committee has ensured a rich programme of cultural events throughout the year to delight travel connoisseurs.
'With the celebrations planned for the 60th anniversary of the Cannes Film Festival, there will be even more reasons to visit and indulge in the alluring lifestyle of this famous city this year ' said Jean-Jacques Lottermoser, Director of Marketing, Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes.
Cannes has a busy calendar of events planned for 2007, with a number major leisure activities including the Festival of Pyrotechnical Art Works, Cannes Shopping Festival and Cannes Music Festival- featuring the likes of Dj Tiesto, Deep Dish, Shacha, Erick Morillo - set to attract visitors to the French seaside town.
One of Cannes' main features is its host of prestigious hotels including the famous Majestic-Barrière, built in the Art Deco style in 1926, Le Carlton, one of the most photographed hotels in the world, Le Martinez, classified as one of the best hotels France, and Le Noga-Hilton, the latest of the luxury hotels on the Croisette, the world-famous street, running along the shoreline of Cannes.
These hotels enjoy an outstanding location on the seafront, overlooking the Croisette, and a reputation as some at the most glamorous places to stay in the world.
Combined with refined international cuisine, stunning private beaches and a vivid nightlife, Cannes is a beacon of luxury leisure pursuits par excellence.

With over 78 million foreign tourists visiting France in 2006, up nearly 3% on the previous year, France continues to be the world's number one tourist destination according to the French Government tourism association. The region is becoming increasingly attractive to Middle Eastern travellers, with Cannes ranked as the top luxury holiday destination.
