Fortune Promoseven took out the honours and will now challenge for world corporate golf supremacy at the picturesque La Manga Golf Resort in July.

The advertising agency came through after a tough battle in the final held at The Montegomerie, Dubai.

Fortune Promoseven - comprising Phil Lynagh, Ian Lynagh, Martin Lambert and Carl Lundqvist - won the second edition of the region's most prestigious tournament, scoring an impressive 90 points.

The score was good enough to give them first place by one point in a closely-fought tournament and reserved their place to compete with teams from 30 countries at La Manga from July 2-5.

Team Xerox took second place, with Kevin O'Connell, Tony Billingham, A Radia and Chris Lynch falling just short of the big prize by a single point.

The Quintica Middle East team of Colin Cloete, Glyn Sowerby, Omer Khan and Adele McKelvey came in third place with 87 points.

Each team who competed in the unique event had each qualified for the finale by winning various corporate tournaments during the season.

Louis Scotto, Emirates Bank's GM Retain Banking, and Chairman Diners Club UAE, gave away the prizes following the event.

Scotto, who was delighted with the response to the tournament, said: "I wish the winners all the best in La Manga. They were deserving winners and I'm sure they will do the UAE proud."
