Tourism investment to hit $3trn

The Middle East will pull $3 trillion in investment in its tourism sector and associated infrastructure by 2020, according to a study cited by Gulf News. UK-based Global Futures and Foresight said tourist arrivals in the Mideast will grow to 170m in 13 years, while income from tourism will grow from an estimated $150bn in 2006 to $280bn in 2020.
