Dubai and Doha projects scoop hospitality awards at industry conference

The closing ceremony at the 3rd Arabian Hotel Investment Conference celebrated successful operations and innovative design within the regional hospitality sector, with awards going to projects in Dubai and Doha.
The innovation award went to Doha City Centre, owned by HE Shaikh Faisal bin Qassim bin Faisal Al Thani whose vision to create a downtown hub for the Qatari capital has been translated by the HOK design practice into a unique five hotel cluster wrapped around the original 450-store shopping mall.
On completion, the centre will offers five distinct hotel brands with Shangri-La, Rotana, Renaissance, Courtyard by Marriott and Marweb. Together, 1,276 rooms, 23 food and beverage outlets, 13 pools and spas will be added to Doha's burgeoning hospitality inventory.
