Dheeraj & East Coast announces completion of 50 per cent of development of the flagship project DEC Towers

Dheeraj & East Coast L.L.C (DEC), the joint venture between India's Dheeraj Group and the UAE's East Coast Group, today announced that around 50 per cent of all development work on its flagship project 'D.E.C. Towers', a semi-mixed-use real estate project in Dubai Marina, has been completed as of 31st March 2007.
Commenting on the construction work progress, Mr. Dheeraj Wadhawan, Managing Director of Dheeraj & East Coast L.L.C., said: "Being the first project launched by us in 2006 in the UAE, D.E.C Towers is not only a project the with most-sold out units, but also a project whose overall progress on structural works is advancing as per schedule."
"Additionally, given the nature of the project, we have appointed the best consultants and contractors based on an exhaustive global tendering process aimed at ensuring that the highest standard of quality is maintained at all times and that construction progresses as scheduled. We are confident of completing all development work on DEC Towers as planned by 2007 end," Mr. Wadhawan added.
The sub structure and super structure works of the D.E.C Towers was awarded to Strabag Dubai LLC, while the MEP works has been awarded to ENASCO Mechanical Contracting L.L.C..
D.E.C. Towers is composed of 506 residential units, around 2,900 square meter of retail area, in addition to supporting services and facilities. The residential units comprise of 151 Studios, 173 one bedroom flats, 174 two bedroom flats and 8 Pent House Apartments. The project will overlook the marina and will comprise a 25 and 21-storey two-tower residential component and an L-shaped three-storey complex in front of it with retail space on the ground floor.
The facilities of D.E.C Towers also include swimming pool, health club, squash court, outdoor jogging tracks, billiards room, CCTV monitoring in public places, retail space for shops, boutiques and restaurants. The project will also have facilities like a two-level car park, Business Centre, and a host of other modern amenities for contemporary living.
