Qatar Airways promotes world's first premium terminal on CNN International

Qatar Airways is to promote its premium First and Business Class terminal in Doha with a bespoke advertisement to air on CNN International.

This is the first promotional campaign for the terminal - the first of its kind in the world - which opened in November 2006.

The advertisement is the next stage of Qatar Airways' brand-building campaign that has been running on CNN International since 2004 and includes sponsorship of CNN's 'Quest' programme and weather reports on CNN. This particular advertisement focuses on the facilities exclusively offered at the airline's Doha hub, informing CNN's audience of up-market global travellers of the quality of services available to guests flying with Qatar Airways.

"CNN reaches a global demographic of up-scale business and first class passengers who would be interested in this kind of service from Qatar Airways," said Rani R Raad, vice president of CNN International ad sales for the Middle East.

"We have worked consistently with Qatar Airways to develop campaigns to enable them to reach out to this audience and are proud that the airline has chosen CNN as the launch platform to promote its new First Class facilities in Doha."

Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said: "Qatar Airways continues to demonstrate the importance of giving our passengers a Five Star experience on the ground - and in the air.

"The new Premium Terminal is a world first, and I am personally extremely delighted to see this wonderful terminal open in Doha giving travellers around the world an opportunity to experience this unique facility and viewers an opportunity to see its benefits through our new TV commercial being aired on CNN International."

The advertisement focuses on the Five Star experience and VIP services offered at Qatar Airways' new terminal.. It highlights the hospitality and luxury treatment offered to passengers, including the spa, jacuzzi, duty free, business centre and fine dining restaurants.
