Tatweer showcases commitment to Dubailand at Arabian Travel Market 2007

Tatweer, a member of Dubai Holding, will showcase its commitment to Dubailand at Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2007 by featuring its four leading projects, assigning a total of AED 110 Billion since May 2006 to be invested into Dubailand over eight years.
Tatweer, an important element of Dubai's plans to increase tourism's contribution to GDP to 20 per cent by 2010, is participating in ATM 2007 to illustrate its vision and ground breaking offerings.
"In a short span, Tatweer has become synonymous with the most innovative leisure, tourism and hospitality projects, not only in the Middle East, but across the globe," said Khalid Al Malik, Chief Executive Officer of Tatweer.
"What better platform to announce the launch of another unique Tatweer mega tourism project than at the premier gathering of the world's leisure, tourism and hospitality experts and industry professionals. Events such as ATM 2007 are key to the growth of the tourism sector, which has been identified by Dubai as a critical driver of future growth," Al Malik added.
ATM is a natural platform for Tatweer to showcase and highlight projects such as the three billion square feet Dubailand, which is destined to be one of the world's largest and most innovative leisure, entertainment, tourism, hospitality and lifestyle destinations.
Other Tatweer entities that will be showcased at ATM 2007 include The Tiger Woods Dubai, the first and only world-class golf course to be designed by long-time reigning World Champion Tiger Woods.
The Global Village will be another project that will be featured at the stand. It has established itself as an integral part of Dubai's entertainment lifestyle with its cross-cultural melting pot of shopping, cuisines and entertainment.
The Tatweer stand will also throw the spotlight on another mega offering, Bawadi. The world's longest hospitality boulevard, Bawadi will feature some of the most uniquely themed hotels, including the 6,500 room Asia Asia hotel. Tatweer will showcase the variety and diversity of Bawadi's hotels, all of which have been designed to suit a multitude of tastes, preferences and styles.
The centrepiece of the stand will be the recently launched, AED 8 billion project "Universal City Dubailand". Along side "Universal Studios Dubailand", the 22 million sq. ft. development will consist of more than 4000 luxurious hotel rooms, 100 restaurants, retail outlets, an area of commercial office space and a residential compound in the heart of the action
The Arabian Travel Market 2007 will be held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre from 1-4 May, 2007. The event will highlight new trends in the global tourism industry and bring together the industry's best products and services.
