NBD Academy adopts Moody's Commercial Lending Training Programme for its National trainees

National Bank of Dubai celebrated the graduation of its first PAL (Programme for Accelerated Learning) trainees who successfully completed the challenging Moody's Commercial Lending Programme.
Established as part of the NBD Academy PAL programme for the ongoing development and training of UAE national employees, the Moody Training Programme sets international benchmarks in the field of financial risk management. Moody's Training Services provide a customized e-learning course for PAL trainees enabling them access to Moody's world class research and industry standard analytical tools. Moody Training Services is recognized as the industry leader and is used by some of the world's largest banks to support their development programmes.
PAL is the first programme of its kind in the UAE that enables UAE Nationals to take part in a comprehensive, in depth programme for personal and professional growth. In addition, PAL puts recent graduates through a rigorous 18-month training course to gain the skills and knowledge to perform supervisory or managerial roles and become leaders within their areas of expertise.
"NBD is committed to provide its trainees with best qualifications enabling them to lead a successful career in the field of banking and finance", said Husam Al Sayed, Head of Human Resources, National Bank of Dubai "The PAL training scheme is a critical element of NBD's Emiratisation programme which provides UAE Nationals with the opportunity to develop their skills and qualifications. The Moody`s Commercial Lending Training Programme test is now a requirement for all PAL trainees."
As part of an ongoing programme of development and training continuously conducted by NBD among employees, the NBD Academy seeks to equip bank employees with international best practices in the industry and further NBD's Emiratisation strategy and aims to achieve a 50% national workforce by the year 2009.
