Royal addition to Hamburg planned by Le Meridien
- United Arab Emirates: Thursday, November 14 - 2002 at 11:52
- PRESS RELEASE
With a topping-off ceremony at its latest property in Hamburg, Le Meridien has underlined its strength in Europe where it manages hotels in prime city locations throughout the continent, and is developing more to maintain its expansionist strategy.
It will feature the group's new Art + Tech rooms, a rooftop restaurant with lake views operated under the supervision of Parisian chef Michel Rostang, plus a 450 sq m wellness centre, and ballroom and conference facilities.
According to Sami Zoghbi, managing director for Le Meridien in the Middle East, the group's expansion means that travellers from the region will find Le Meridien at most business and leisure destinations in Europe.
"As well as our recently opened hotel in Munich and the new hotel in Hamburg, we will also manage a futuristic 680-room hotel at the new Airrail Centre at Frankfurt Airport, set to open in 2005, giving us a major presence in all key German cities," he said.
"It's these developments, offering a known service level to regular travellers, that underlines Le Meridien's commitment to becoming the hotels of choice for both business and leisure guests," he said.
