- Egypt: Thursday, November 14 - 2002 at 12:07
- PRESS RELEASE
Holiday Inn Hotels & Resorts opens its first resort hotel in Saudi Arabia and its ninth property in the Kingdom later this month, creating a superb leisure destination and meetings venue on the Gulf Coast.
Although mainly geared towards leisure, the resort can accommodate meetings, conferences and incentives for up to thirty delegates. Business services, with full meeting equipment, and support services are available on request.
The international Blue Beach restaurant and room service cater for all culinary requirements. A poolside snack bar serves light snacks throughout the day. The Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort has two children's playgrounds, a terrace for barbeques, and a spacious beach area.
With a fully equipped fitness centre and gift shop, visitors to the striking new resort complex will not be easily tempted to leave Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort, but should they do so, the corniche, parks, shopping malls, Dhahran exhibition centre and Bahrain causeway are within easy reach.
"The Half Moon Bay Holiday Inn Resort is the first top quality beach resort of its kind in Saudi Arabia's Gulf coast region, " said David Atkinson, Area Director, Marketing, Holiday Inn Hotels and Resorts, Middle East and Africa.
General Manager, Tarek Sulaimani, added: "It will be very popular with Saudi families and leisure groups, and with conference and meeting organisers. The bulk of our guests are expected from Riyadh and Khobar, as well as from Kuwait and Qatar."
During Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr, Holiday Inn hotels in the Middle East are presenting highly attractive rooms rates as part of the newly-launched Weekends programme. The Weekends packages, available all week long for the Ramadan and Eid period, will be especially attractive to families. They include free breakfast and special offers for buffet Iftar and Sohor meals, while children whose parents book Holiday Inn family rooms stay free, and enjoy a selection of free meals and other added savings. Those using Visa Cards to pay for Weekends packages can enjoy a free extra night.
