Dubai on track for 15m tourists

A senior Dubai official said the emirate will achieve the 10% annual growth in tourist numbers needed to meet a stated target of 15m a year by 2015, Gulf News reported. Tatweer board chairman Saeed Al Muntafiq said a 10% growth rate was 'conservative', with tourist numbers expected to grow at a higher rate. The number of visitors to Dubai grew 6.5% in 2006 to 6.5m.
