RAK, Fujairah eye tourists

Ras Al Khauimah and Fujairah are hoping to follow the lead of Dubai and Abu Dhabi and ramp up their number of tourists, reported Gulf News. Ras Al Khaimah has launched various development projects aimed at boosting its hospitality sector and is targeting 2.5m visitors in 2012, five times as many as last year. Fujariah, which last year received 160,000 visitors, is looking at hitting 200,000 a year by 2012.
