UAE tennis ranking circuit continues at Jumeirah Beach Hotel

The 6 day tennis tournament is to be held under the auspices of the UAE National Tennis Ranking Circuit that was launched in February 2007 by Tennis Emirates. The main objective of this circuit is to develop tennis grassroots in UAE by establishing a national ranking system and in the long run, standardise UAE tennis tournaments.

Peter Burwash International (PBI) that has a rich history of developing tennis in over 100 countries in the past 32 years will be organizing this prestigious tournament in close cooperation with Tennis Emirates.

Apart from rewarding participating players with ranking points, this tournament has a total prize fund of AED 12,500 to be won in the men's singles and doubles competition. UAE's top players as Omar Behroozian and Hamad Abbas are among the 80 participants, who have registered for the event.

Ian Phillips, Director of Sports & Leisure at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Rene Zondag, PBI Regional Manager in Europe and Middle East have both expressed their excitement of being part of this event. "We are happy to be part of this circuit that will put the UAE on the international tennis map. It already has a broad platform and with our partners Aquaspeed Boats & Yachts, Raymond Sport and Wild Wadi Waterpark, we will make this a successful tennis event. We wish all the participants of the sixth event of this prestigious ranking series good luck and we will do everything possible to create one of the best looked after events in the country.".
