Consumer law hits UAE firms

Retailers in the UAE feel a new law geared towards protecting consumers, will add to their overheads, reported Gulf News. The Consumer Protection Law requires all items to carry detailed labelling including what the product is, where it is from and what are the risks from using it. The law should make it easier for customers to return items and firms face fines if they do not adhere to it.
