QNB continues to support VCUQ students

The scholarship is specifically aimed at students specializing in the majors of Interior Design & Graphic Design matriculating in the years 2007-2010.
Underscoring both QNB and VCUQ's commitment to this partnership, Christina Lindholm, VCUQ Dean and Dr. Dottie Milligan VCUQ Senior Associate Dean for Finance and Administration paid a visit to QNB.
"Qatar National Bank has been a generous supporter of VCU Qatar. They were one of the first companies to recognize the excellence of our graduates and the quality of our programs. We are honored by their participation and look forward to a mutually beneficial partnership" says Dean Lindholm.
Through its scholarships, QNB aims at encouraging academic excellence in gifted students of the community. The bank hopes that every year an increasing number of talented students will be motivated to pursue their educational career at VCUQ as the bank tries to remove any financial barriers in their path to success. The scholarships will go a long way toward assisting deserving youth as they pursue their careers and contribute to Qatar's future.
The bank has been actively involved on the educational front supporting some of the best graduates of VCUQ. QNB scholarships began in 2003 as part of its commitment to support educational endeavors by the Qatar Foundation in Qatar.
The 2003 valedictorian and award winning Graphic Designer, Mary Anne Skill was a QNB scholarship recipient. She is currently employed as a Graphic Designer for the College of North Atlantic's marketing department.
QNB shares close ties with VCUQ and has been a supporter of the Tasmeem Design Conference since its inception in 2004. Every year, the conference initiates discussions regarding the important role design plays in shaping our identity, determining our quality of life and driving our economy.
Aimed at encouraging the long-term careers for Qatari youth at QNB, the bank also conducts training programs for talented youth recruited by the bank. With the community's interest at heart of all its activities, the bank will continue to provide support and encouragement in nurturing talented young minds attain their career goals and thereby serve the nation.
