ETA Star International opens new concrete ready-mix plant

The plant has been established to cater to the company's in-house requirements for concrete troughs used in its cabling projects. Presently, ETA Star International has over US$400 million worth of cabling projects.

Mr. Hameed Salauddin, Director, Corporate Affairs, ETA Ascon said, "As a leading multi-specialty company, the ETA group has great expertise across several sectors of the economy including Industrial, Commercial, Construction, among others. Diversification has been our core strength, so naturally, we are able to adopt new initiatives such as the concrete ready-mix plant, which will enable us to be more self sufficient in the procurement of raw materials for our projects."

He added that the development of new technology in materials science is progressing rapidly and high strength concrete cement based products will continue to make significant contributions to quality and efficiency in the cabling industry.

Operating to ISO standards, the factory has a ready-mix concrete production capacity of 30 cubic metres per hour. The plant has been imported from Italy and is equipped with a diverse range of automatic and semi-automatic machines and other specialised equipment to carry out the manufacturing process under the supervision of an efficient management and production staff. The plant is well suited for a wide variety of production needs including precast, drycast and architectural product production.
