Energy City Qatar win prestigious 'Deal of the Year' award

Energy City Qatar, the region's USD2.6 billion unique energy business cluster located north of Doha, has enhanced its growing reputation by winning the prestigious 'Deal of the Year' award from influential financial publication The Banker, part of the Financial Times group.
The winning "Deal of the Year" 2007 for Qatar, Energy City Qatar was chosen from more than 650 nominations. To win the award, Energy City Qatar and its financial advisors led by Gulf Finance House needed to demonstrate excellence in corporate financial management, combined with an innovative business approach.
Receiving the award on behalf of Energy City Qatar CEO Hesham Al Emadi commented: "We are proud to receive this accolade which recognizes the outstanding achievements of Energy City Qatar during our first year in business. We are delighted our reputation as a visionary energy business cluster has been acknowledged by such a respected global financial publication as The Banker".
