The event aimed at reviewing the group's performance, identifying opportunities and anticipating challenges ahead.

The day's agenda included presentations from MBC Group Directors outlining strategies, tactics and tools deployed with the objective to further optimize the Group's performance and streamline its multi-platform offerings. The presentations were followed by discussion forums designed to stimulate cross-discipline exchange, innovative thinking and creative solutions in media.

"Being the largest media corporation in the Middle East, MBC Group aims at enriching people's lives through world-class interactive information, creativity and entertainment. Our viewers, advertisers and people are our most precious assets. We owe them a firm commitment to excellence,"

said Waleed Bin Ibrahim Al-Ibrahim, MBC Group Chairman.

Since the relocation of its headquarters from London to Dubai Media City back in 2001, MBC Group has steadily grown its employee base from 250 to nearly 1,200 full-time staff, reflecting the growth of its business and the development of its portfolio offerings.

"We fully recognize our role in society. Fostering and sharpening Arab talents goes beyond the capital importance of job creation: it's the driving force behind the development of our societies and the springboard for media to actively participate in building knowledge economies" added Al-Ibrahim.

The closing statement of the day's activities was made by Ali Al Hedeithy, MBC Vice Chairman, in which he attributed the success of MBC to its staff: "People often ask the secret of MBC's success, of course, there are many answers: understanding our audience, identifying with their aspirations and offering them the right product," said Al Hedeithy. "Today, however, I wish to pay homage to MBC staff. Without you - without your professionalism, energy, loyalty and dedication - MBC would certainly not have achieved the successes it has."

"I want to thank you all for your hard work, integrity and passion. I look forward to working with you and encourage you to see hope everywhere: hope for our future, hope for our people and hope for our region to reach its potential."
