HP Middle East appoints new General Manager for Personal Systems Group

HP Middle East today announced the appointment of Serdar Urcar as the new General Manager of Personal Systems Group (PSG) in the Middle East. Urcar will be joining PSG working from the Dubai office, with immediate effect.

Serving with HP for over ten years, Urcar comes from HP Turkey where he was General Manager for PSG for the previous five years. During his time in this position, he was instrumental in leading HP to become a market leader in the country, with PSG holding the number one PC vendor slot for the past five consecutive years. He and his team managed to bring over 500% growth in revenues within 5 years to the company and overgrew the market by 3 times in 2006.

Urcar will be responsible for managing the 11 countries in the region including the UAE, KSA, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar and Bahrain and will host and manage the distribution and commercial channels for all products and services.

Urcar replaces Anil Gandhi who begins his new role as Director of Global Business Program for PSG World Wide Commercial Sales Team on 1st May 2007.
