DM Training Centre launches website

The Personnel Department of Dubai Municipality recently launched a website for its Training Centre under the Municipality portal.

Humaid Saeed Al Marri, Director of Personnel Department said launching of the website, www.dmtc.ae, is part of the vision to apply the concept of e-Government in the Municipality.

He said the website aims to strengthen the channels of communication and cooperation between the Training Centre and the employees. "The Training Centre wishes to offer high quality services in order to enhance the standard and competency of services provided. We are also committed to excellence in performance," said Al Marri.

He said the site offers a number of important services such as the strategic document of the department, training plans, and a lot of other useful pages.

Al Marri said that the site was developed by an integrated working team so that it can serve those concerned with e-learning and e-training in order to spread such a culture.
The website has many features that include a comprehensive archive of daily and weekly news and events and activities of the centre, a huge library that contains tens of books and educational materials of different specialties, detailed plans and agenda of programmes, details about the main topics of training plans and their divisions, rules and regulations of training laws, application forms for different training courses, contents of training programmes, training syllabuses and guidelines and general rules for that, details about professional and specialized training offered by the centre, variety of programmes provided in this field, mailing list that enables the surfer to join so that he can access the latest news of the Centre and tens of audio programmes of famous Arab and international lecturers.

In addition to that there are a number of links related to e-learning, which can be used in a lot of programmes, tens of training films of big and famous speakers in the world in all fields, hundreds of educational essays specialized in the fields of business administration, general skills, personality development, information technology, English language and many other areas.

Another specialty of the site is free webcast of lectures for all the employees who can access them online from any place, tens of tests to gauge the standard in a number of knowledge and technical fields, photo archives of all internal training activities in the Municipality classified according to month.

The site also provides other features and services for training firms such as internal training plans for all programmes to be conducted throughout the year. The firms can save time and efforts by accessing online the details and timings of any programme they wish to participate and cooperate with the Training Centre.

The site will soon introduce forums for e-learning and e-training where all concerned employees will be able to have fast and easy knowledge and cultural exchange in these fields.
In addition to that there will be live webcast of all internal activities of the Training Centre. The Centre will also issue weekly newsletter that will contain a lot of useful information on training.
