MMS 2007, in its third year, will host workshops and debates to enhance communication and to further promote understanding of the media industry in the region.
Abdullah Abulhoul said: "Events and functions we have organised for this year's MMS will provide a fresh and innovative direction, based on a new strategy we have significantly researched aiming to further enhance Dubai as a platform for regional media development.
This year we endeavour to identify new talent that can add credibility and value to the media and marketing industry in the region."
Further new initiatives will include a talent zone, under the patronage of Dubai Press Club, the zone is created to uncover raw, unobserved talents available and hence adopt those talents and further enhance their skills in order to fuel up for the booming media and marketing industry.
Mona Al Marri said:
"The media in the region poses many challenges and opportunities. MMS 2007 aims to tackle issues and promote communication and collaboration. It is an important annual event where we can collaboratively draw on each others' strengths with open dialogue. Dubai Press Club interest in the Talent Zone reflects our confidence in both the industry and the region's talents and their ability to develop and compete not only on the UAE level but also internationally."
This year's exhibition area will increase in size by 30% to accommodate the new initiatives, which in turn has seen an increase in the budget.
The Media and Marketing Show 2007 will be the region's premier forum that showcases latest industry initiatives, trends and technologies in advertising, broadcasting, entertainment, events, marketing, new media, outdoor advertising and publishing in the Middle East. The event that is set to display new developments and ideas will run from 11th to the 13th of November.
