The lecture was given by Professor of Fine Arts, Dr. Wa'el Sief El Dein to third and fourth-year students of interior design at the university, and was attended by Ms. Faten Al-Sayegh, Manager of Sayegh showrooms as well as a number of professors and instructors.

The professor kicked off his lecture with a short film introducing the company, followed by an elaborate discussion about paint and the various means by which paint is applied. He also highlighted some of the problems that may arise in dealing with paint and solutions to them. The lecture also reviewed the different types of paints with their specific characteristics, and how to distinguish between them. At the end of the lecture, the professor opened the floor for a discussion and answered questions and concerns by the students.

Technical support throughout the lecture was provided by a team from National Paints. The session, which was led by Dr. Wa'el Sief El Dein and Mr. Riyadh Hamoodeh, also included a workshop for the students, in order to provide a sense of practical application for decorative and ornamental design. The students were given instruction on the numerous and various ways in which paint can be used in decoration and interior design.

"Lectures and workshops of this type seek to enhance awareness and cultural knowledge in modern decorative arts and techniques," stated the Chairman of the Board of Al-Sayegh Group, Mr. Michael Al-Sayegh. "It is important to allow the students to participate in order for them to gain a sense of familiarity with these techniques and the substances used, and also to utilize more freely their artistic imaginations. We would sincerely like to thank the representatives of the University for their support of this goal and of us. We would also like to thank the artistic team from National Paints on their efforts in making this lecture a successful one."

National Paints conducts such lectures and workshops in galleries and universities throughout Jordan for the purpose of creating a sense of understanding of paint and décor in the Kingdom.
