In a company that counts such multinational names as Caterpillar, PricewaterhouseCoopers, and Siemens as customers, competition is fierce to outperform annual expectations.
The Middle East operation of Exact Software has been rewarded as "Fastest Growing Subsidiary of the Year" of any of the group's more than 40 offices in 2006.
Rajesh Patel, Exact Software's CEO, in Dubai to address the group's annual general manager meeting, praised the Middle East operation's management team and drew a sharp comparison between global business success and that of Dubai's success in recent years.
"Dubai changes so fast that it's hard to follow what will come next, and yet the change seems to be managed so well by the authorities here. The city is a real life 'change management' case study," said Patel, speaking to regional press on the sidelines of the group's general manager meeting, this year taking place in Dubai.
"I chose 'change management' as the topic for my keynote speech to our executives gathered here in Dubai. I told them to look to Dubai as the ideal example of how to make global integration work. It's a constant challenge but real leaders embrace change and make it work to their advantage."
