Emarat recycling drive

Emarat is to launch an awareness campaign to make more people aware of the need to recycle bottles and cans, reported Gulf News. The firm launched 15 recycling kiosks at its petrol stations in 2004 but take-up has been poor with the firm saying residents have little appreciation of the importance of the issue. Since 1988 the amount of waste generated per person in Dubai has more than doubled.
