Foreign investors purchase AED3.5 billion worth of shares on DFM between May 6th - 10th 2007

Dubai Financial Market announced today that the value of shares bought by foreign investors, or non-UAE nationals, between May 6th and 10th 2007, reached AED3.5 billion, comprising 37.2 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period.

The value of stocks sold by foreign investors during the same period reached AED2.891 billion, comprising 30.7 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net foreign investment on the market reached AED609 million during the same period.

The value of stocks bought by institutional investors between May 6th - 10th 2007, reached AED2.4 billion, comprising 25.6 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. The value of stocks sold by institutional investors during the period reached AED1.534 billion, which constitutes 16.3 per cent of the total value of stocks traded during the period. Net institutional investment on the market reached AED874 million during the period.
