Oman monitors tsunamis

Oman is to establish a seismic activity monitoring station close to the Makran Trench, which is located near its north east coast, in order to provide an early warning system for possible tsunamis, reported ArabianBusiness.com. The trench was responsible for an earthquake and subsequent tsunami back in 1945 which killed 4,000 people in Oman, Iran, Pakistan and India.
