The company's 2007 range merges innovative technology with cutting-edge designs to produce the most satisfying TV experience for customers wishing to capitalize on digital entertainment and high definition viewing.

The M8-Series, the flagship model for the LCD line-up, is a full HDTV range supporting the highest video-resolution standard in the industry, 1080p. With a resolution of 1920x1080, the models offer full high definition pictures - nearly two times greater than standard HD models, a dynamic contrast ratio of 15000:1 as well as supports three Samsung patented technologies - 'Super Clear Panel', 'Movie Plus' and 'Wide Color Enhancer'.

The models in the LCD lineup (M8 Series, R8 Series and S8 Series) are available in sizes ranging from 32" - 52".

The M8 and R8 series employ three High Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) connections further positioning the TVs as a multi-media centerpiece (Only S8 series comes with 2 HDMI inputs). The S8 series employs two HDMI connections.

The HDMIs allow users to connect HD digital devices like disc players, game consoles and satellite dish components into the two rear connections and use the side-mounted input for cameras, camcorders and laptops.

The TVs are further Anynet+ ready allowing users the convenience of a one-controller operation for all HDMIed A/V boxes.

GCC-based Soo bong Kim, Vice President for Samsung's Visual Display Division said: "This new lineup perfectly illustrates the evolving industry of streamlining digital technology. The high performance multimedia device makes the LCD TVs the ultimate interface for viewing motion pictures, connecting to the laptop or the camcorder while maintaining a premium high definition viewing experience".

The three Samsung patented technologies available in some of the models provide a crisper and clearer image marked by richer colors, blacker blacks and even whiter whites.

While the 'Super Clear Panel' feature improves color reproduction levels and boosts the contrast ratio, the 'Movie Plus' technology calculates the motion component of the incoming video signal and interpolates the action to create new frames without the judder effect and the 'Wide Color Enhancer' ensures better presentation of colors in bright pictures.

The auto wall-mount feature enables viewers to adjust the angle of the TV using the remote control. The feature is available for 42" and 50" PDP models and TVs 40" or bigger for the LCD lineup. TVs installed with the feature can be swiveled up to 20 degrees horizontally in both directions and tilted 15 degrees down.

While the step-up R8 Series shares many of the M8 Series high-definition and color-enhancing features, the models are distinguished by their elegant design, which feature subtle curves and a lacquer exterior in a choice of neoclassic black or pearl white.

The series also boasts speakers that have been ingeniously hidden from view. The soft LED lighting, crystal bezel and stylish touch sensor buttons that look like sparkling gems lend the models a refined dignity and make the R8 Series a beautiful addition to any stylish living room.

The PDP lineup (Q9 and C9) dramatically improve picture quality and further incorporate smart new features and patented technologies promising to take home cinema to another dimension.

The Q9 Series incorporates Samsung's new Ultra FilterBright technology, which marks a significant upgrade by utilizing a sophisticated new Optimal Light Filter and Super Black Panel.

Both the Q9 and the C9 Series are available in 42" and 50" varieties and are packed with impressive features. The C9 incorporates Samsung's patented FilterBright technology, to give deeper blacks and clearer detailer regardless of the brightness of the environment.

The Q9 and C9 Series process color elements in 18 bits and feature an unprecedented contrast ratio of 15000:1. All models include anti-burn technology and energy smart features for enhanced panel durability stretching 60,000 hours.
