Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry's staff and clients have assisted during the blood donation campaign which the Chamber arranged at its premises in cooperation with the Department of Blood Transfusion Services at the Ministry of Health.
The Dubai Chamber's employees and the clients who came to complete their commercial transactions at the Chamber's departments made their way to the mobile blood bank unit which was placed in front of the Chamber's main entrance. The unit was equipped with all necessary medical tools needed for a blood transfusion process which lasted for over 5 hours.
H.E. Engineer Hamad Mubarak Buamim, Director General of Dubai Chamber, said 'the blood donation campaign arranged by the Chamber for its staff and customers goes in line with the Chamber's humanitarian and social responsibility and meets its social role in extending helping hands to patients and hospitals which are continually in bad need for donated blood units to enhance their blood supplies required for all sorts of surgeries and other serious medical operations.'
He pointed out that the blood donation campaign, which recorded a good response, is one of many other humanitarian initiatives which the Dubai Chamber launches to support the local society and to encourage its staff to sense the spirit of responsibility towards helping patients. It is yet one of the ways that the Dubai Chamber is used to underline its participation and cooperation with other local government departments and charitable institutions aiming to highlight the civilized and humanitarian features of the Emirate of Dubai.
