The event, organised with the theme 'Gateway to New Horizons', is focused on globalisation, call centre, outsourcing and service management best practices and has attracted the support of many leading Middle Eastern organisations. HDI-MEA, the world's largest membership association for technical service and customer support professionals, has organised the second edition of the conference and exhibition in partnership with Dubai Knowledge Village in an initiative designed to encourage more businesses to implement international standards and best practices.

"We fully support this initiative as we are committed to positioning the Middle East as a centre for excellence and learning by promoting shared knowledge and development of the region's talent pool. The HDI-MEA Conference and Exhibition is the perfect platform to encourage a vibrant and connected learning community that will accelerate the region's move to a knowledge economy," said Ibrahim Moosa Jamel, Director of Business Development, Dubai Knowledge Village.

"Our support of initiatives such as this underlines our commitment to making Dubai the premier centre for excellence, education and learning in the Middle East," Jamel added.

The six-day conference and exhibition, endorsed by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) of Egypt, will include an interactive technology exhibition featuring global call-centre outsourcing companies, leading technology solutions providers and professional certification training companies, in addition to certification workshops, networking activities and social events.

"The Middle East is on the threshold of international recognition for achieving soaring standards of excellence, economic diversification and global leadership in the IT and call centre outsourcing industries. We are also delighted to offer visitors a myriad of distinguished speakers who will present their vision of the future, highlight trend-setting initiatives and share their personal insights into leadership," commented Moustafa Kadous, President and Chief Operating Officer, HDI-MEA.

Some of the region's largest companies have announced their participation, including Saudi Aramco, SABIC, Oman Mobile, Saudi Telecom, Etisalat, Bank Bahrain & Kuwait and Qatar Petroleum.
