Kraft Foods construction of Bahrain cheese and beverage factory is on schedule

Kraft Foods, one of the largest food and beverage companies, is progressing on schedule with the construction of its state-of-the-art USD 40 million cheese and beverage plant located in Bahrain Investment Park.
Patrick Satamian, Managing Director of Kraft Foods GCC, said, "The project team from Kraft Foods is working round the clock to make sure that the plant will be completed on schedule. The foundation of the plant has already been completed and the steel construction will commence shortly." He added, "The plant will utilize the latest manufacturing equipments available from Germany and the U.S to meet Kraft Food's global standards and to provide the highest quality products in the region."
The factory will be part of the 159 factories that Kraft operates worldwide across many food categories. As for all Kraft factories, the Bahrain factory will be fully compliant with Kraft's internal stringent quality, hygiene and safety standards to ensure the safety of the workers and quality of our products. It will also fully endorse the latest international ISO certificates such as Good Manufacturing Process (GMP) and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP).
Andrew Trevis, Kraft Foods Plant Director in Bahrain, said, "Our plant will apply the best manufacturing practice available locally and internationally; it will be benchmarked by any equivalent plant world wide." He added, "We hope to attract the best available talents from Bahrain to join our organization."
The Kraft Foods plant in Bahrain will be one of the largest food and beverage factories in the GCC employing about 250 people to produce and export cheese and powdered beverages to the Middle East region. The following experts are on board preparing for the plant's business process: Plant HR, Simon Gilea; Business Development and quality Manager Geoff Buck; and Customer Service Manager, Aysegul Aksu and a plant Controller will also join the team shortly.
