This brings to 14 the number of former employees who have returned to the firm's fee-earning ranks in the past 12 months.

Both new hires have been recruited out of the Tokyo market. Gary Hodgson joins the Denton Wilde Sapte's Abu Dhabi office from Allen & Overy, while Moscow hire Myles Mantle has been hired from Ashurst.

"These hires continue a significant trend of former staff returning to the firm," says chief executive Howard Morris.

"And the reasons for this are very clear - quality of work, career opportunities and a great work-life balance."

Both of the new recruits worked for Wilde Sapte during the five years leading up to the 2000 merger with Denton Hall. Gary Hodgson was a trainee and solicitor at Wilde Sapte from 1997 to 2000, working in the Asset Finance group. Myles Mantle is another veteran of Wilde Sapte's Asset Finance group, working there from 1995 to 1997.
