UAE warning on melamine dishes

Dubai Municipality has issued a warning about certain types of melamine plates and dishes that could be carrying dangerous levels of urea formaldehyde, according to local news reports. A survey has found that some local retailers are selling plates that don't comply with UAE specifications. Melamine dishes are popular because they are cheap and resist cracking.
