The construction has ended, and most of the building has been furnished. The new building is located three kilometers outside of Cairo, on an area of 20,000 square meters in Sheikh Zayed City, with a total buildup area of 27,000 square meters.
The new four storey non-smoking building is to encompass state-of-the-art equipment and machinery, modern interiors, and an attractive yet chic exterior to reflect the soul of the company. A wireless internet network will cover all of the outdoor and indoor areas of the building as well as VOIP (Voice-over IP) phone systems.
Additionally, it will feature numerous facilities including a multi-purpose room accommodating up to 200 persons, lecture and conference rooms, training rooms, highly equipped meeting rooms on every floor and section, restaurants with self serving counters accommodating up to 400 persons and including a private dining area for VIP visitors, a gym, prayer rooms, a clinic, and a travel agency.
All Travco Group companies, which are currently in various locations around Cairo, are to move under one roof at the new headquarters. The transition should be a very smooth one as individual companies will be moving ahead of each other in order to ensure a smooth shift. The first companies to move by the end of May will be Iberotel Hotels and Resorts, Sol Y Mar and Jaz Resorts and Travcotels, followed by the consecutive shift of the remaining companies ending with Travco Travel.
Travco buses will be available to transfer employees to and from the building to specific meeting points in various areas in Cairo and Giza.
