Brand new Altea XL awarded four Euro NCAP stars

Brand New Altea XL - From short trips to long journeys, this multi sports vehicle is all set to become the perfect family car

When family is the consideration, The New Altea XL is the best bet. Modified with more space and comfort to fit any size family with ease. SEAT's most recent innovation is a stretch of the spanish design Altea to its XL size bringing in all the components required for a roomy fit for families ensuring nobody or nothing gets left behind. The New Altea XL is of three types: the Reference, Stylance and Sport up. Each model bears the characteristic Altea face and fluid aerodynamic shape with integrated wipers, visible Twin exhaust tailpipe, body coloured bumpers and tinted windows. For the insides, you get to choose your fine points.

It even comes with Radio/CD/MP3 and Bluetooth, Cruise control, Tire Pressure Monitor among other hi-tech features and optional navigation system to stay found on any kind of a getaway. The navigation kits take you wherever you want to go, with clear and easy to follow instructions. Now you have the perfect excuse to disappear for a long weekend.

New Altea XL offers increased torque for all those family trips. Fuel Stratified Injection (FSI) technology produces optimum combustion by injecting fuel directly into the cylinder. While selective pump injector technology, electronically controls each cylinder fuel injection.

The New Altea XL is built around an impressive piece of engineering called the Agile Chassis. This highly rigid, finely tuned inner case turns the steering, brakes, transmission and body into a single, responsive unit that detects your intentions and replies with precise maneuvers. The New Altea XL possesses an impressive range of powerful petrol engines upto170 hp. Designed with the latest technologies to anticipate what lies ahead, the Altea XL active safety features include Adaptable Front-lighting System (AFS), Bi-Xenon headlights that follow the movements of the wheel on each curve; Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) come optionally, to monitor information from steering wheel, tyres, brakes and accelerator to make the necessary adjustments. The Traction Control System (TCS) helps to avoid spinning or wasting horsepower, while the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) keeps your wheels from skidding or over accelerating. The Emergency Brake Assistance (EBA) supplies maximum braking power from the slightest pedal movement.

Further evidence that family safety is at the top priority comes with a glance at the Altea's Euro NCAP ratings. The Altea has been awarded four Euro NCAP stars for 'Child Protection' and in the 'Adult Occupants Protection' category it scored five stars.
