New berths at Saqr Port

Four new berths as well as other upgraded infrastructure have been commissioned at Saqr Port in Ras Al Khaimah, reported Gulf News. The new berths have a total length of 795 metres and will help to boost the cargo handling capacity at Saqr significantly; the port now has 12 berths. The port is also buying new container-handling equipment to boost loading and discharge rates.
