  • United Arab Emirates: Sunday, May 20 - 2007 at 08:14

Dubai's five star hotels are consuming up to 225% more energy than their European counterparts, thus upping their overheads, according to a survey by total facilities management company Farnek Avireal. The study said hotels in the city use on average between 650 and 1,250 litres of water per guest and consume 2,750-3,250 KW of power per sqft. By comparison, hotels in Germany use 350 litres and 1,000 KW per sqft.
