ARAMEX sponsors UAE nominees of Injaz Al Arab Student Company Competition

ARAMEX (DFM: ARMX), the total transportation solutions provider is sponsoring the transfer of 5 Emirati students from Dubai Women's College to Amman to take part in the INJAZ Al-Arab Student Company Regional Competition.

The winning teams from the various Arab countries will compete for the opportunity to participate in the World Economic Forum on May 18-20.

ARAMEX is co-sponsoring this unique private sector led initiative that aims at offering students at schools and universities age of 15 to 20 years old, the chance to develop their leadership qualities and entrepreneurial skills. The students will actually play the role of business people, setting up companies with fixed capital and administrative and HR structures, following a series of concentrated and result-oriented entrepreneurial courses.

The nominated team of this year's Injaz Student Company Competition for the UAE comprises of 5 Emirati E- Business students from Dubai Women's College. The company is 'AeYat', which inspiration is both the name of the country, and the fact that it was dedicated to create a platform for the UAE business women to exhibit their products and offerings.

The staff of 'AeYat' appointed a CEO to head its operations and selected four management teams to oversee the company's key departments: Human Resources, Marketing, Finance, and Production. They went through the entrepreneurial cycle, with the help of a private sector volunteer, Mr. Mounir Bouaziz, Board Member of INJAZ - UAE and VP Shell. The student's company also received support from, Al Nabooda Automobiles, Modern Printing, and ARAMEX, 'AeYat' was able to successfully implement its business model and take the lead in the the UAE.

The national competition winners from Jordan, Palestine, Kuwait, Egypt, Oman and the UAE (nominees) will take part in the regional challenge that will be held in Jordan under the patronage of Her Highness Queen Rania Al Abdullah in May 17.
