This workshop was an outcome of Effat College's memorandum of understanding with the Prince's School of Traditional Arts (PSTA) London, (UK). The workshop was instructed by three PSTA instructors: Ms.Elise De Long , Ms. Sabat Rifat, and Ms.Hitomi Yasuda. Dr. Eman Mohamed, Extension Program Director at Effat College, commented on the workshop. She stressed," The hosting of this workshop revives our Islamic traditions and heritage and exposes our Architecture students and others to Islamic Art."

Upon conclusion of the workshop, The Annenberg Foundation filmed a documentary about Effat College's relationship with PSTA on May 17th, 2007 on campus. Trustee Mr.Charles Annenberg Weingarten headed the 11-member delegation from The Annenberg Foundation. Effat College personnel, and participants of the PSTA workshop attended this event. Since The Annenberg Foundation's goal is to advance the public well-being through improved communication, it encourages the development of more effective ways to share ideas and knowledge.

Ms. Aminah Roma, an art and interior design teacher at one of the leading institutes in Jeddah and a participant in the Islamic Art workshop described her experience. "The workshop was amazing. I learnt so many things from it that I would love to attend other Prince's School of Traditional Arts workshops on Islamic Art."
