DaimlerChrysler Middle East appoints new man in fleet management role

DaimlerChrysler Middle East has appointed Uwe Hermann as Regional Sales Manager, FleetBoard, the market leader in telematics.
Hermann, a Diploma Engineer graduating from University of Applied Sciences Aalen, Germany, joined DaimlerChrysler Middle East in July 2002 as a trainee in the Sales and Marketing Department of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge and after the successful completion of his internship, was hired as Sales Assistant Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars.
In March 2005, he became Specialist Product Management for the Mercedes Car Group and one year later was promoted to Senior Specialist Product Management for the Mercedes Car Group.
"With increasing pressure on price, costs and rising customer demand, transport and logistics companies have to use new approaches in to avoid being left behind," said Hermann. "FleetBoard uses the internet and a GSM network to offer real-time decisive support from vehicle, time and logistics management to mapping and navigation to ensure the cost effective and profitable running of a commercial vehicle fleet."
