Global Village to open doors from 13 December to 1 March

The Global Village, a member of Tatweer, has announced that it will once again open its doors to visitors from 13 December, 2007 to 1 March, 2008.
A recent survey of 2,000 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors found the Global Village to be a place of many opportunities with low associated cost such as rentals. Participants in the survey also expressed their satisfaction with the amenities available at the Global Village.
Regular user surveys have helped the Global Village to continuously improve on its offerings every year.
Global Village, within Dubailand, has become the premier family venue where diverse cultures from around the world gather for entertainment, adventure, cuisine and commerce.
During the 2006-07 season, Global Village attracted a record 4.2 million visitors. Shopping grew by 11 per cent, specific pavilion visits by 63 per cent and comparative shopping by 52 per cent over the previous season. The total visitor spend amounted to AED600 million.
Commercially, over 2,300 exhibitors/investors were represented from almost all parts of the world. There were 39 pavilions showcasing daily cultural performances and spectacular events in the last year. Since 1996, the Global Village has seen representation from 65 countries.

Global Village, a member of Tatweer, is Dubai's exciting and unique annual tourism destination and spectacular multicultural entertainment centre. Launched in 1996, Global Village made its debut on the Creekside opposite Dubai Municipality. It later moved to the Oud Metha area and then on to Dubai Festival City, until it found a permanent home in 2005 at Dubailand, the region's largest tourism, entertainment, leisure and lifestyle complex.
