District cooling to expand in GCC

Total installed district cooling capacity in the UAE is expected to reach 4m tonnes of refrigeration by 2012, with the sector increasing at a compounded annual growth rate of 63%, according to a report by The National Investor. According to the study's findings, total installed cooling capacity in the GCC region will reach 9.6m TR by 2010 as compared with 745,000 TR in 2005, a compounded growth rate of 66.7%.
