Air Arabia opens first sales shop in Jordan

Air Arabia, the first low-cost carrier in the Middle East and North Africa, has opened its first fully-dedicated sales shop in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

His Excellency Osama Dabbas, Jordan's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, presided at the inauguration ceremony in Amman, which was also attended by Adel Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia, and Mazen Tantash, Chairman of Trust Aviation, the carrier's General Sales Agent in the Kingdom.

Air Arabia's new Amman sales shop, located in the central Shmeisani district, will offer enhanced customer service, including both ticket sales and visa services. As part of its summer promotions, flights from Amman start at AED 249 (JD 48), exclusive of taxes and surcharges. Air Arabia, which has been flying to the Jordanian capital since 2005, operates four direct flights a week between Amman and Sharjah, the carrier's hub in the UAE.

"We are very pleased to open our first sales shop here in Amman, which demonstrates Air Arabia's commitment to serving the fast-growing Jordanian market, and we are honoured by the presence today of His Excellency Osama Dabbas, the Kingdom's Minister of Tourism and Antiquities," Adel Ali said at the inauguration ceremony.

He continued: "Last year, the number of arrivals Jordan set a new record of 6.5 million, an increase of 13 per cent compared to 2005. This is further evidence that Jordan is now a truly global tourism destination. As today's opening demonstrates, Air Arabia will continue to contribute to this regional growth story."

Mazen Tantash said: "Jordan is an integral part of Air Arabia's flight destination network, and the opening of this sales shop will improve customer service for this popular route. The large expatriate Jordanian community in the UAE will also benefit from enhanced services here, including extremely competitive fares between the two countries."

He added: "Through Air Arabia Holidays, we provide a range of tailored vacation options for travelers seeking to explore this country that is steeped in history and rich in natural beauty. Indeed, whether it is for business or pleasure, Air Arabia is committed to making our customers' lives easier and improving the services we offer them. The opening of this new sales shop will help achieve these goals."
