Cyberia adds ACCPAC's financial diagnostics

For the region's small to medium businesses, successful growth strategies largely depend on careful approaches to financial management, says Cyberia's chief financial officer, soon after the company successfully ended an implementation of ACCPAC CFO - a Comprehensive Financial Optimizer module that ACCPAC is bringing for the region's businesses.

Cyberia, a regional Internet service provider, decided to be the first to go for ACCPAC CFO soon after the company announced its regional expansion into Saudi Arabia. "When key factors influencing your profitability multiply and you are continuously faced with new business contracts, a financial diagnostic and strategic analysis tool like ACCPAC CFO becomes a necessity, " says Fayrouz Mordaa, Cyberia's Chief Financial Officer. RCI, Relational Computer International, a Lebanon-based ACCPAC partner, handled the implementation.

ACCPAC CFO is a financial diagnostic and strategic analysis tool that provides key information and indicators on what is driving business profitability. Mordaa explains that the power of ACCPAC CFO lies in its "what-if" and goal-seeking capabilities. "Not only does it tell us where we have done well, or not so well, but it also exposes our financial blind spots, and identifies our critical success factors. It helps us determine our financial position as we expand our customer base, as we introduce new services or as we engage in a new business contract. We can see the impact on our profitability, cash flow and our return on investment."

Before implementing ACCPAC CFO, Cyberia collected previous years' data and its general sales trend, and analyzed individually how sales were affected by price, promotions, competition, and other key factors. "Today, it is impossible to do that separately given our multiple-country operations, and factors on both, the micro and Macro levels. ACCPAC CFO provides us with a unique approach to correlate between the market and our future profitability," says Mordaa.

Aida Maalouf, RCI business Manager, explains that CFO is an essential tool for business managers, as they are often confronted with complex decisions influencing their financial status. "Take for example what would be the position if a business acquired a new customer, or introduced a new product range or engaged in a new business contract. How would that influence profitability, cash flow and return on investment? Any future scenario can be analyzed and predicted. For example, what would happen if management actually reduced our selling price and we increase volume this way? How would that influence profitability and financial position? This is where ACCPAC CFO comes to play."

"We have been supporting Cyberia's financial management software, ACCPAC Advantage Series for two years now. The management very quickly saw the benefits of CFO and were further encouraged by the seamless integration that CFO has with their existing systems," said Maalouf. "This integration between the accounting software and CFO bring numbers to accountant's fingertips for real-time analysis."

Marc Van der Ven, managing director for ACCPAC MENA ended saying: "accountants as well as decision makers in the region will find that ACCPAC CFO is a cost effective, easy to use and deploy, management tool that delivers capabilities for faster and smarter decision making. It gives accountants the power to interpret and analyze financial reports to an unprecedented level."
