With this announcement, HP further expands its industry-leading portfolio with a new level of productivity, versatility and dependability for printing in the digital marketplace. The launch was held as part of GISWORX 2007, the second annual GIS Workshops and Exhibitions for ESRI Users at the JW Marriott, Dubai for which HP was the main sponsor.

Amr Hassan, General Manager, Imaging and Printing Group, HP Middle East, said:

'HP is continuously looking for ways to reinvigorate the printing market and excite customers with new printing possibilities. The foundation of our leadership in the large-format printing market means that we have the ability to bring the latest innovations to the graphics and technical market. Our latest Designjet series enables our customers to increase productivity and extends HP's portfolio of trusted large-format printers that more customers can depend on.'

Introducing the most productive large-format printer in its class- HP Designjet Z6100

The HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series with HP Vivera pigment inks is perfect for indoor and short term outdoor large-format applications such as photo enlargements, photo quality POPs and backlits, fine art prints, drawings, maps and renders, delivering colour accurate and high impact prints at maximum print speeds - all with HP's set of colour management technologies.

The HP Designjet Z6100 features HP DreamColor Technologies, a certified system of colour technologies, such as an embedded spectrophotometer, and sciences which make it easy to produce accurate, predictable and consistent colour across a series of digital colour devices.

The new eight-ink HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series enables digital print shops and sign makers, as well as GIS/CAD professionals, to increase print capacity, reduce turnaround times and offer new, high-quality printing applications to customers and clients while delivering predictable, consistent colour.

Offering an attractive combination of speed, image quality and colour consistency for PSPs and technical professionals, the new HP Designjet Z6100 Printer series is the ideal solution for all indoor large-format printing applications, from photos and fine art prints to maps and renders.

Available in 1067 and 1524 mm models, the HP Designjet Z6100 shortens response time for the fast-paced PSP environment and handles large volumes effortlessly, producing output up over 100 m2/hr. In addition, the HP Designjet Z6100 features eight HP Vivera pigment inks delivering vivid, water-resistant, exceptionally fade-resistant prints. Prints produced on a range of HP media resist fading for over 1 year unlaminated and over 3 years laminated when displayed in or near a window. In interior display conditions away from direct sunlight, prints resist fading for over 200 years.

Defining a new quality standard for CAD, AEC, GIS professionals- HP Designjet T610 and T1100

The new HP Designjet T Printers series, which include the HP Designjet T610 and T1100 Printer series, set a new standard of print quality with its Three-black ink set, including grey ink, and HP Vivera inks, delivering exacting detail, a wider range of colours and hard-to-achieve tone reproduction.

The HP Designjet T Printer series builds upon the proven reliability of HP large-format printers by adding enhanced compatibility and dependability delivered by HP-GL/2 and in-printer processing architecture. In addition, these printers can print an A1/D page in 35 seconds enabling project print speeds up to three times faster than the previous offering, the HP Designjet 800 series.

According to InfoTrends, the growing use of colour in outputs of CAD and GIS applications is driving growth in the wide format colour inkjet technical market, up to 25 percent in some regions.

HP's innovative printhead design, the printing system produces pinpoint line accuracy and crisp text with improved line accuracy at 0.1% and 0.0423 mm minimum line width, allowing CAD and GIS professionals to produce standout drawings and presentations with better readability.
In addition, the HP Designjet T Printer series offers remarkable compatibility with CAD and GIS applications thanks to embedded industry standard HP-GL/2 language.

The HP Designjet T1100 Printer series, including the HP Designjet T1100, T1100ps and T1100MFP, is ideal for CAD and GIS work groups who need to efficiently share a printer among multiple users in a network environment.
