Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill revives modern classic to attract Middle East visitors
- Egypt: Tuesday, May 22 - 2007 at 12:32
- PRESS RELEASE
Hyatt Regency London - The Churchill, is approaching the end of Phase II of its multi-million pound refurbishment of bedrooms, suites, corridors and the Regency Club.
The hotel is located on Portman Square, one of the city's most fashionable areas, with Oxford Street, Marble Arch, and Edgware Road all just a walk away for Middle East visitors.
"Hyatt Regency - The Churchill has been one of London's most popular hotels among discerning Middle East travelers," said Thierry Bertin, Area Director of Marketing in the Middle East, Hyatt International Hotels and Resorts.
"With the multi-million pound refurbishment lead by world renowned interior designers well on its way, Hyatt Regency - The Churchill is a top hotel for style and comfort right in the heart of London," he added.
The hotel has remained fully operational throughout the renovation and now has 262 newly refurbished rooms available.
Hunt Hamilton Zuch Ltd, the leading international interior designers specialising in the hotel and leisure industry, have created a fresh new look, keeping true to the classic nature of the hotel and with the distinguished Hyatt Regency brand worldwide.
All rooms have carefully chosen colour accents, accessories and pieces of artwork, plus a Philips 26inch flat-screen LCD TV to add warmth and originality for the traveler away from home.
All bathrooms have been redesigned with smart clean lines and materials to enhance the feeling of well-being. Limestone-style ceramic tiles are laid in a brick fashion. Vanities have granite surfaces with a contrasting dark coco effect, while sleek white ceramic sanitary ware and polished chrome fittings, create a glossy and glamorous interior.
The hotel's guest corridors have been included in the refurbishment, with custom-designed carpets, photographic artwork inspired by London's beautiful parks and prints of the local garden squares surrounding the hotel.
The hotel's Regency Club® on the 8th and 9th floors is "the hotel within the hotel", where Middle East travellers can enjoy uncompromising luxury and personal service. The lounge has loose casual seating and relaxed comfortable sofas. The colour scheme is a smooth transition from the guestroom corridors with autumnal shades of green and brown, accented by a vibrant punch of colour in apple green for a feature wall housing a mirror flat-screen TV. The buffet bar area has granite counters, dark stained veneers and walls of apple green glass.
The Regency Club® Lounge offers guests a calm, discreet alternative to the hotel's restaurants and bars. Breakfast and light snacks are available during the day and in the evening, the Lounge is a sophisticated but cosy place to read or relax. The redesign includes a new private room that can be booked by guests for private meetings and entertaining, or used as a convivial space to relax and meet fellow members of the Regency Club.
The refurbishment programme of the bedrooms and suites will be completed by July 2007 when Hyatt Regency - The Churchill will re-take its place as one of London's most stylish and comfortable hotels.
