UAE market reporting guidelines

The Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority will issue new guidelines for business news reporting. The UAE market regulator said the guidelines will prohibit local media from quoting sources that 'do not stand on sufficient qualification' when reporting markets or listed companies, Gulf News reported. The aim is to stop misleading information about listed companies and initial public offerings reaching the public.
