Held each month at Ibn Battuta Mall, the Coffee Club will provide women in the community a regular calendar date to gather and engage in topics affecting their everyday lives in the UAE, including health, lifestyle, childcare, fitness and fashion.
The inaugural Coffee Club will be a unique opportunity to hear from the first all female multi-national team from the UAE to head to the pristine wilderness of Svalbard, just 600 miles from the North Pole. The team of 17 women led by Julie Amer, completed a 160km dog sledding expedition to a Polar ice ship, experienced ice caving and a snowmobile safari in temperatures as low as -30.
To inspire others to take more interest in fitness, health and sports, the all women Arctic team will showcase the latest leisure wear from retailer Go Sport, over a complimentary breakfast including coffee/tea and pastries. Discounts to purchase some of the fashions on show will also be offered to those attending.
Sandy Mercer, Marketing Manager of Ibn Battua Mall says, "We are most excited to be launching our first monthly Coffee Club at Ibn Battuta Mall and look forward to creating a monthly forum to motivate and inspire women in the areas of health, lifestyle, childcare, fitness and fashion. Each month we will donate funds raised from the Coffee Club to a nominated charity and we are thrilled to support the UAE's first Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat team led by Julie Amer from Mountain High."
A donation on entrance will go towards support the Tickled Pink Paddlers - the UAE's first Breast Cancer Survivors Dragon Boat team who will be traveling to Penang in June to participate in a race with Breast Cancer Survivor teams from Malaysia, Hong Kong and Australia.
