Premier Travel Inn breaks ground

The construction phase has started for Dubai's first Premier Travel Inn. The 308-room budget hotel is going up in Dubai Investment Park and is due for completion in Q1 2008. AMB Building is the construction contractor. The project is a joint venture of the Emirates Group and the UK-based hospitality group Whitbread. PTI is building hotels in two other Dubai locations and will bring 830 rooms to the market over the next 18 months, according to PTI Gulf Hotels MD Darroch Crawford.
